We need all of you who plan on staying a member to post in the activity check! [ even if you're a new member! ]
You can find the application form here. You can also post it here, along with finding yours or other people's accepted applications here too. It might take a bit for your application to be accepted, so please be patient.
At this board you can find the celebrity claims, the myspace claims, the aim claims, and the house claims. Once your accepted though and only once you're accepted please.
Myspace is popular world round, especially in the teenage world, but it's expanding. You can chat with your friends, or post pictures and bulletins when your bored. You'll become an addict soon enough.
AIM is a great place to chat with people, either your best friend, a boyfriend/girlfriend, or a complete stranger, either way it's fun most of the time. Just be sure not to chat with an immature person who's just looking for drama.
Who doesn't have a cell phone in California? If you don't then i suggest you get one, you can text or talk or even check out your e-mail... don't be left out of the loop.
The University of California, Los Angeles (generally known as UCLA) is is the second-oldest general-purpose campus in the University of California system and has the largest enrollment of any university in the state. The campus includes sculpture gardens, fountains, museums, and a mix of architectural styles. The campus is informally divided into North Campus and South Campus, which are both on the eastern half of the university's land. North Campus is the original campus core, with its buildings being more old-fashioned in appearance and clad in imported Italian brick. North Campus is home to the arts, humanities, social sciences, law, and business programs and is centered around oak tree-lined Dickson Court. South Campus is home to the physical sciences, life sciences, engineering, psychology, mathematical sciences, all health-related fields, and the UCLA Medical Center. It really is a beautiful campus and a great school, one of the best out there. If you've got the money, or possibly a scholarship, then this is the place to be.
The California Institute of the Arts is commonly referred to as CalArts. CalArts is authorized by the state of California to grant Bachelor's degrees and Master's degrees in the visual, performing, and literary arts. CalArts offers degree programs in music, art, dance, film and video, animation, theater, and writing. Its specialization is in interdisciplinary, contemporary art, and its stated mission is to create artists who will change their field. The Institute also encourages students to recognize the complexity of political, social and aesthetic questions and to respond to them with informed, independent judgment. Admissions to CalArts is based solely on the applicant's creative talent. The school does not review an applicants SAT scores without consent, and does not consider an applicant's GPA as part of the admission process. As far as academic scrutiny goes, the faculty only cares to see if the applicant has graduated with an High School Diploma/GED or Bachelors Degree prior to applying for admissions. If you are an artist and don't have a bunch of money, this is the place to be.
Los Angles - aka rodeo drive - is known for it's fashion and shopping centers. They've got high fashion places like Dolce & Gabbana, Hermes, Badgley Mischka, etc. And then in downtown Los Angeles they've got the more vintage stuff, but Los Angeles is definately known for it's fashion and if you've got loads of cash then Rodeo Dr is the place for you, and if you don't have as much, then downtown L.A. is the place for you. Either way, L.A. has fashion for all shapes an sizes, wallet sizes that is.
Los Angeles has tons of different sorts of food places. You can find gourmet food, or you could find fast food places that you can pretty much find all over the world, like McDonald's, Taco Bell, and stuff like that. If you need a quick snack, or you don't have a bunch of money then fast food is probably the best for you, but if you've got some money in your pocket, gourmet is great too.
Los Angeles is a great party city. There are tons of great clubs that you can get into and party it up. There are classy clubs where you can just sit and drink and chill with your friends, but they only serve drinks like momosas and martinis and then there aremore dirty clubs where you can chill and party and drink any type of beer you could think of. And then there are other places where you can just dance all night, really L.A. has a nightlife club for anyone!
You can find things like the Los Angeles Library and Art Museum here! You can also find the Airport, the hospital, the beach, the park, and much more here. So if your going on a date or just want to roam around L.A. for the day, the places here can be very enjoyable.
These Lofts are very big and fancy; these are the type of place that people live in when they’re pretty fucking rich. They come with fancy vintage like furniture and they’re floors have nice rugs on them, along with a flawless wood floor. These lofts are very pricey; you have to have a really good income or a fantastically rich mommy or daddy to own on of these. They are worth the money though, they even have a maid come once a week and if you want her to come more often then you just have to lay down a bit more cash. The lofts have two bathrooms – both with huge tubs – a master bedroom and a big guest bedroom, a nice sized expensive propped kitchen, a big living room and a small laundry room. They’re very vintage colored, they’ve got dark, yet also sort of brightly colored walls, they’ve got tons of gold painted wall borders and such. They’re very fancy and very pretty. If you’ve got the money, then these lofts are the place to live my friend.
These are giant concrete rooms. Most of them have giant pillars in the middle of them and are often cold and drafty. Sure they’re big, but because of how cold and sort of run down they are, they are cheap and perfect for artists, like photographers and painters and musicians live. Most of the people who live in a studio are often pretty poor, but trying to get somewhere, either that or they would rather spend they’re money on art supplies then on rent. You can however make one of these studios quite nice looking. The studios are all just one giant room, your kitchen is tiny and in one corner, while your bathroom is in another – it’s the only sectioned off place, it’s got a door – your bedroom and living room are connected, and it’s all very wide and open, if you’ve got a lot of shit then you still wouldn’t be able to fill it up. They’re really huge, they should be a lot more money, but since they’re floor in concrete and they’re windows are cheap and let all the cold or hot air in, they’re cheap. They’re nice if you’ve got a warm bed to sleep in and they’re really great if you want to set up photo shoots and such.
These apartments are for people who don’t have a lot of money and don’t really need a lot of space either. The apartments are all sort of small, which just a sectioned off bedroom and bathroom, a tiny kitchen and a little living room. They are sort of rundown too, they’re nice enough, but honestly they’re sort of shit. But, if it’s all you can afford and if you live alone or with one other person, then they’re really ok to live in. Oh and if you don’t mind mice or roaches. For the most part these apartments are quaint and even though they’re dark, they’re very comfortable; at least they don’t let too much wind or cold in. They’re nice in that factor.
These dorms are very nice. They’re big enough for two people. They’re actually a bit like apartments, only nicer. They’re clean and have nice hard wood floors. They’re very natural colored and have big windows with nice curtains to keep the sun out. They’ve got two bedrooms, each of them with a desk and a bed. And then they’ve got a bathroom, it’s a small bathroom, but it’s got a shower and a toilet, not to mention two sinks and a fairly large counter. The only people who live in the dorms are the kids attending UCLA and only the younger people can live in them, 18-21. You can still attend UCLA not living in the dorms, but usually people live in the dorms because it’s cheaper. And you want cheap when you’re going to a school like UCLA, especially if you’re on scholarship.
